چکیده
ghrelin is an orexigenic peptide secreted by the stomach. the aim of this study was to investigate the effect of three weeks of endurance training on plasma and fundus ghrelin as well as growth hormone (gh), cortisol hormone and weight in male wistar rats. 20 male wistar rats (14–16 weeks old) were randomly assigned to control (n =10) and training (n=10) groups. the rats in the training group exercised on a motor-driven treadmill at 25 m/min. (0% grade) for 60 min./day, 5 days/week for three weeks. the animals were sacrificed 48 hours after the last session of training program and their tissues were analyzed. independent t test was used to analyze the data. the results showed that in trained rats, stomach and plasma ghrelin concentrations and weight were significantly lower and cortisol was higher than the control group (p
